About this place
If you have your eye on nigiri but also want a few other dishes, Otoya’s menu offers plenty to choose from. Visitors have commented on the generous size and freshness of the nigiri toppings, with shellfish—especially whelk—making a particular impression. One diner ordered the ten-piece chef’s selection and added a sushi roll for their child. The menu also includes the ten-piece Premium Nigiri, along with rolls available whole, such as the Seafood Otoya Roll, Premium Roll and California Roll. You can focus on nigiri or mix in rolls, choosing what suits your appetite and party.
Add grilled scallops with butter or seafood gratin for a warm dish alongside the sushi. One diner recalled the preparation and aroma of the salt-grilled scallops as especially memorable. There is also the pleasure of choosing a few small plates while you wait for the nigiri. Drinks include beer and sake, as well as Yoshino cedar barrel-aged sake, served in a 180 ml portion. A previous visitor described a subtle cedar aroma and found it easy to drink. It may be enjoyable to choose a drink to accompany the sushi or shellfish dishes.
For dessert, choose a parfait in strawberry, chocolate or vanilla, or try monaka ice cream. Dine-in service is available, and reservations are accepted. On Sundays, the restaurant opens from lunchtime, making it an option for enjoying sushi at a different time of day.
